As the founder of our record company Made In Sauga®, my team and I launched with a clear vision to curate a diverse roster of talented artists that would contribute to the successful framework of musicians from our city. Recognizing the absence of a girl group in Toronto's music scene, we saw an opportunity to not only support upcoming artists but also introduce a special group that would capture the world stage. Thus, we introduced Bexk, Lilac X, and Korahjay, known collectively as BLK.

Inspired by the success of past girl groups such as TLC, Xscape, and TOTAL, we aimed to deliver an aesthetically and sonically pleasing group that was as dynamic and skilled as their predecessors, while also pushing the boundaries forward. Our debut single "Got It" immediately garnered attention, featuring on MTV, Revolt TV, Fader, BBC Radio, and Vibe Magazine.

As the chief creative officer and co-director of all the music videos for this project, I had the unique opportunity to shape the creative vision and direction of the project from start to finish. Drawing from my passion and experience, I aimed to create a unique audiovisual experience that seamlessly blended our desired 90s aesthetic with modern themes.

Inspiration for the visual direction of our videos came from the colorful and captivating works of famed artist James Turrell. Juxtaposing his use of color with minimalistic approach was the key to the creation of our captivating visual imagery.

Working closely with Director Aaron A, I played an integral role in the development of the concept and storyboarding for each video, ensuring that the visuals were in line with our creative vision. Incorporating the works of other notable directors and artists in the music industry, I was able to integrate unique elements into our videos, making them stand out in a crowded and competitive industry.

In addition to my role as the creative director and co-director of the music videos, I also co-wrote and executive produced the songs on BLK's debut EP. This allowed me to ensure that the music and visuals were in perfect harmony, providing a cohesive and complete audiovisual experience for our fans.

Overall, as the creative director and co-director of all the music videos for this project, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished with BLK. By combining passion, creativity, and hard work, we were able to create a product that not only represented our vision but also stood out in the music industry.
